Anupam Srivastava is the founder member and partner of The Chambers of Law [www.tcl-india.net]. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
Having sharpened his legal skills under the guidance of the legal luminary, Mr. Pratap Kishan Jaitley, in the High Court of Delhi, Anupam’s experience now spans over 20 glorious years in the practice of civil and corporate laws which is witnessed by a plethora of judgments, serving as judicial precedents across the High Courts of India. Anupam’s expertise transcends varied areas of civil and corporate practice to include Real Estate Laws, Commercial Transactions, Company Matters and Personal Laws. Anupam is an authority on laws related to corporate affairs, information technology, arbitration and conciliation. He is an expert on mortgages and legal financial profiling of debtors and has been providing guidance to the clients regarding the foreign investments in India.
Anupam has wide experience in adjudication of debt recoveries by and against Bankers, Financial Institutions, Non Banking Finance Companies and has been successfully running programmes with various banks and NBFC’s in reducing their Non- performing assets.
Anupam is also an eminent writer and his writings have helped interpretation of laws not only for the legal fraternity but also for the general public by simplifying intricate and complex legal issues. “A Hand Book on Real Estate Investment - A Legal Perspective” (published by Manupatra) is a useful book for laymen on day to day issues faced relating to real estate laws. His book “Legal Ways of Money Recovery – A Hand Book” (published by Lexis Nexis Butterworths) gives practical insights into money recovery making it an interesting read for debtors and creditors alike.
Anupam’s dynamic writing style discards the stereotypic approach of writing law books. His“Code of Civil Procedure 1908” (published by Manupatra) is a fine example this new perspective to the legal writing. The book, popularly known as the white book, went on to become the first law book in India, to be launched on Kindle. Anupam also holds the honour of writing the 16th Edition of the “Mulla’s Code of Civil Procedure, 1908” and for co-editing the 9th Edition of the “Mulla’s Transfer of Property Act”.
